Research & Development
Pioneering lithium-ion
since the beginning.
We’ve seen, developed and applied lithium-ion’s potential across all industries for over 20 years. Through our ongoing R&D efforts, our teams are continuing to drive li-ion technology into the future.
Driving Discovery Together
We’ve built long-term partnerships with international top enterprises and research institutions to lead the development of next-generation battery technology.
Science-driven, Scalable Solutions
In an industry as fast-moving as advanced energy, pushing boundaries while maintaining technological safety is no easy feat. Luckily, we have the team, tools and expertise to find a balance and push the envelope every day.
Since our origin, we’ve committed to continuous improvement to redefine the most reliable, scalable product from conceptual design to innovative performance. Our advanced modeling and testing capabilities have been successfully audited by Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, BAIC and other leading automotive OEMs.
Outpacing Competition
Our products leave wasted weight and space behind to deliver the density that drives performance brands forward. Batemo, a global third-party cell analysis and testing company, validates our combination of high specific power and energy density for a just-right combination that leads the pack in commercially-available cells.

The Road Ahead
Leveraging cutting-edge chemistries, our product roadmap is strategic to solve for both market-leading performance and financially sustainable manufacturing to give our customers a competitive advantage.
Introducing the Super Pouch
Our new Super Pouch ‘cell-to-pack’ technology differs among battery producers with much larger cells that enable far greater energy density with less space and weight. In fact, it enables a 30% increase in energy density for modular systems in the same volume.
Our track record of consistent quality for large format cell production positions us for this unique approach.
Leading Safety
Already a leader with an excellent track record in thermal management, Farasis is taking the next step with Viscoelastic, Thermodynamic, Gas management Design (VTG). VTG represents a whole-system approach to extend battery life and stop thermal propagation, which addresses:
- Vibration
- Impact
- Operation Thermal Performance
- Dynamic Gas Control
- Thermal failure & Over pressure response
- Historical model tuning
