We supply automotive and middle market companies in the aerospace, mobility and specialty vehicle industries with a competitive advantage through access to the highest performance large format li-ion cells available worldwide.

Our Story
Farasis Energy USA is a team of US-based battery technology industry leaders united under one vision: establishing a solid, reliable supply chain for the highest quality li-ion technology available on the market.
Our USA team is part of the global Farasis Energy, an international automotive li-ion battery supplier founded in 2002 by Dr. Keith Kepler and Dr. Yu Wang in Silicon Valley, CA. At the time, it was simply too cost-prohibitive to manufacture li-ion batteries in the US, and so operations were moved to Ganzhou, Jiangxi, China in 2009.
In the years since, Farasis has expanded its reach around the globe. After expanding facilities throughout China and across Europe, Farasis Energy saw opportunity in the growing demand among nonautomotive middle market and high-performance automotive businesses in the US.
Farasis Energy USA is in the process of exploring the development of manufacturing facilities right here in the US to better serve companies with superior domestically sourced li-ion technology.
Our History
1997
Our founders, Dr. Keith Kepler and Dr. Yu Wang, begin R&D of lithium-ion battery products and technologies.
1999
Research establishes a validated system of NMC and an established structure of li-ion pouch cells.
2002
Dr. Kepler and Dr. Wang founded Farasis Energy in Silicon Valley, California.
2009
Farasis founds a R&D and manufacturing facility in Ganzhou, Jiangxi, China, kicking off an international journey.
2011
Farasis begins supplying battery systems to world-class electric powersport vehicle manufacturers, like Polaris.
2016
Farasis enters the Chinese automotive industry, providing large-scale batteries to Chinese car manufacturers.
2018
Farasis receives substantial funding to continue R&D efforts and establishes a strategic partnership with Mercedes-Benz.
2020
Farasis launches mass production in Zhenjiang, China and begins supplying battery systems to e-VTOL aircraft manufacturers.
2021
Farasis expands manufacturing and R&D to Turkey and further into China.
2023
Farasis Energy USA expands reach to the middle market for nonautomotive businesses and begins exploring a US-based manufacturing solution.
